God Loves You with No Exceptions

In 2013, on the Monday of Pentecost, we at Grace Church received a very important message left by a confused, scared teenager. They spray painted “can I still get to heaven if I kill myself” in two-foot tall letters on the side of our church. While most don’t know how to appropriately respond to something like that, Grace Church responded the only way we know how, with love. And so

“GOD LOVES YOU WITH NO EXCEPTIONS!”

was proudly spray painted right next to their fear-filled question. In the following days, the message was spread widely on-line and in social media. Some weeks later, the young person who vandalized the church came to a Sunday worship to apologize. They were welcomed with open arms.
