How to Setup Zoom

We may use Zoom teleconferencing for meetings at church.
 

 If your computer does NOT have a microphone or camera built-in, please let us know so we can make other arrangements. 

Computer users -- (Smartphone users, see separate section below)

Go to https://zoom.us/test and click on the "Join" button 

When prompted with "Open zoom.us.app?" ... Click on the "Open zoom.us.app" button

You should see a "Launching ..." message, followed by a "Connecting" message, then a Video Preview screen should appear.
(It will probably have someone who looks more attractive than in the illustration below). 

Click the "Join with Video" button, which will take you to ... 

YOU ARE UP AND RUNNING. You can play around with some of the controls if you want, or just click on the red "Leave Meeting " in the lower righthand corner of the window. 

Smartphone users --

Download the Zoom app  ("from where ever fine apps are found") ...

With the Zoom mobile app, you can start an instant meeting to test your video. 

1. Log in to the Zoom app.
2. Tap Start Meeting.
   
3. Toggle Video On. 
4. Tap Start a Meeting. 
   
5. If this is your first time joining a Zoom meeting from this device, you will be asked to allow Zoom permission to access the camera and microphone.
